Stephanie was born and raised in Oklahoma until she moved to New York City at the age of 23. Most of her childhood and teenage years were spent studying dance, voice, and music theatre at local studios; by her 18th year, she had upwards of 30 performances encompassing full musicals, plays, reviews, and ballets! In 2000, she made the decision to stay in Oklahoma and earn her Bachelor of Music: Music Theatre from The University of Central Oklahoma. She studied under Tamara Long (Broadway: Dorothy Shaw in “Lorelei”, Off-Broadway: Mona Kent in “Dames at Sea”) to whom she is not related, but to whom she credits much of her passion, drive, and technique. When not performing at college, she could be found teaching dance and choreographing around the community. As a senior, she even tackled directing a full production of “Ruthless! The Musical”. Her last performance in Oklahoma to date, she took off her dress and did the Time Warp as Janet in “The Rocky Horror Show” (Carpenter Square Theatre). From there, it was off to New York. Shortly after her arrival, she was cast in her first New York production as a wife in “Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” (KJK Productions). Since then, her credits have grown to include Maggie in “A Chorus Line” (Mt. Washington Valley Theatre Company), Diana in “A Chorus Line” and Jan in “Grease” (Shawnee Playhouse), Millie Dillmount in “Thoroughly Modern Millie” and Judy Haynes in “White Christmas” (Round Barn Theatre). She made her regional debut as Choreographer with the previously mentioned “White Christmas”. When not working out of the state, she can be found auditioning in the city and spending time with her friends and her loving Fiance, Marty, in Brooklyn. Feel free to drop by for a game of Skip-bo.
